Anti-Graffiti film for Sound Transit’s SODO Station in Seattle, WA

Big cities, especially their industrial districts, offer numerous opportunities for their citizens. Everyone can find a perfect place for work here, surrounded by growth and possibilities. One of such places is a SODO neighborhood in Seattle. It is a part of an Industrial District that houses many manufacturing plants, logistic companies, and government offices, to name but a few. These areas attract taggers, leading to high levels of vandalism. That’s why our client decided to improve their safety and aesthetics in SODO, asking us to assist them with replacing anti-graffiti film for Sound Transit’s SODO Station.

Sound Transit is a public transit agency that serves the central Puget Sound region in WA. Their goal is “to connect more people to more places” in an efficient, stress-free, and environmentally responsible way. Moreover, they try to enhance the overall quality of life in the region by providing transit services for all community members. To ensure their clients’ safety, Sound Transit pays attention to the appearance of their stations. Statistics show that crime and vandalism are common in public transportation in the USA. For that reason, our client chose to apply the anti-graffiti film on their station in SODO some time ago. Taggers did damage the property with graffiti, which influenced the station’s look and the Sound Transit’s image. However, the benefit of anti-graffiti film is that it can be easily removed and replaced if needed. Therefore, no extra money goes into buying new glass surfaces.

The film we used

We replaced tagged window films with graffiti at the entire station, using a 4-mil Llumar anti-graffiti film for Sound Transit’s SODO Station. This film protects glass surfaces from paint, permanent markers, etching, or scratching. Moreover, it’s easy to clean without the need for strong chemicals. In case of significant damage, our client won’t need to spend extra money on replacing the glass. This makes the film not only protective but also cost-effective.
