Heat Rejection with Solar Film for a Residential Building

We are happy to share another residential project. This time we focused on heat rejection with solar film for a new construction house. Comfort is alsways a priority, especially in upscale real estate areas like our client’s. Excessive heat coming through windows causes air conditioning systems work much harder. Thus, the utility bills get higher and you spend much more money on cooling your home. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, applying a solar film to your windows improves energy performance and proves to be a cost-efficient solution.

We installed Panorama Hilite 40 to the top floor windows of the building as they are most exposed to the sun. This film offers optimal light control at 40% with a heat gain coefficient of .60. Moreover, it reduced fading by 78% and blocks over 99% of harmful UV-rays. We also sealed the edges with Dawnsil 995 to strengthen the film. This way, Panorama Hilite 40 will benefit our client the most.

In the end, it’s all about ensuring comfort. So, our team is pleased to have assisted our client in getting significant heat rejection with solar film.
