Protected the Chinook Building: Anti-Graffiti & Safety Film in King County
We are glad to share another project completed in King County, WA. This time, our work was at the Chinook Building, which serves as a hub for a variety of county services and offers workspace for over 1,4000 employees. Our team is happy to have protected the Chinook Building and improved its safety and aesthetics.
Downtown Seattle, particularly King County, hosts various business, governmental, and manufacturing services, to name but a few. Unsurprisingly, such corporations as Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, and Boeing call it their home. This area contributes significantly to the WA economic activity. Thus, its prospering and protection are top priorities for government and business owners. One of the challenges facing King County is the prevalence of property crime. Taggers scratch window surfaces or throw paint on them. Thieves break into commercial and residential properties, impacting the county’s safety.
Considering its location, the Chinook Building needed enhanced security and appearance improvements. This 13-story structure opened in 2007 and earned LEED Gold certification for meeting high standards of sustainability. Moreover, it is a cultural and historical symbol of King County’s identity and progress. These are the reasons why we eagerly assisted our client in applying anti-graffiti and safety films to Chinook Building’s windows.
The film we used
We installed a 7-mil Graffitigard by Solar Gard and a 14-mil Safety and Security Armorcoat Clear film to all the windows on the front entrance of the Chinook Building. The anti-graffiti film protects glass surfaces from vandalism. It can be easily cleaned without using strong chemicals. In cases of etching or scratching, we can effortlessly remove and replace the film. The 14-mil Armorcoat keeps the glass pieces together and prevents them from flying around if damaged by weather, break-ins, or accidents. We used the combination of these window films to ensure protection and enhance aesthetics.
Our team is happy to have protected the Chinook Building in King County, WA. Anti-graffiti and safety films will secure the property against crime and preserve its appearance for all the community members to enjoy.
