Safety film for Northwest Harvest in Seattle, WA

Another project was completed for the Northwest Harvest, this time for their SODO Community Market in Seattle, WA. Our team was glad to have assisted our client with applying a safety film for Northwest Harvest. Together, we decided on a 14-mil Armorcoat safety and security film by Solar Gard. 

Northwest Harvest aims to fight the hunger. The company delivers two million meals monthly through over 400 partners. Not only does the SODO Community Market provide access to fresh, nutritious food, but it also serves as a community gathering space. Apart from groceries, this hub in Seattle offers healthcare, housing, and legal services, to name but a few, for all community members. Established in 1967 by activists, Northwest Harvest continues its mission as an anti-racist, anti-oppression organization that advocates for food justice. Thus, Charity Navigator recognized their hard work (Four Star Charity). They also earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency and commendation from the Better Business Bureau. 

Our goal was to ensure safety and security for Northwest Harvest’s SODO Community Market, which would be similar to the one they offer individuals of all cultures and income levels. We applied a 14-mil Armorcoat Clear film to all their windows in order to mitigate the risk of injuries from broken glass. Moreover, we enhanced the film’s strength by attaching it to the window frame with silicone DowSil 995. As a result, glass surfaces became protected from damage caused by break-ins, weather, and accidents.

While safety has once again become a priority for the food justice organization in Seattle, WA, our team was happy to have installed a safety film for Northwest Harvest.
