Safety film for Pierce Transit’s Tacoma Dome Station, WA

We are happy to share our project for Pierce Transit’s Tacoma Dome Station, that we’ve recently completed. This organization is a perfect example of how government cares about their community’s safety, equality, and justice. Tacoma, the third-largest city in WA, has a crime rate over 300% higher than the national average. Considering the station’s location, we recommended applying a highly resistant safety film for Pierce Transit‘s Tacoma Dome Station. Ensuring the protection of both property and employees has become a top priority.

Pierce Transit is governed by an elected 9-member Board of Commissioners whose mission is to help all the citizens reach their schools, workplaces, or any other crucial meetings. In 2019 alone, they facilitated over 9 million rides to destinations within and outside Pierce County. The Tacoma Dome Station is the company’s biggest facility. It also houses Pierce Transit’s customer service center. Apart from that, the station features 6 transit zones and around 2,400 parking spots. Commuters can access buses and trains or park their own vehicles at the station for up to 24 hours. Thus, the safety level of the Tacoma Dome Station should be of an extremely high level.

The film we used

For this project, we applied Solar Gard‘s Panorama Hilite 70 window film, anchoring it to the frame using silicone DowSil 995 for durability. With a visible light transmittance of 70%, the film provides both high safety and heat rejection. Moreover, it blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays and reduces annoying glare by 46%. As an official Panorama Dealer, we offer this exclusive film to our clients. Its high price and complex application deter many businesses, but our team of specialized professionals ensures the investment pays off with enhanced safety.

We are glad to have helped our client improve their security by applying our safety film for Pierce Transit’s Tacoma Dome Station.
