Security for Pierce Transit in Lakewood
We are happy to share another successful project completed for our client, Pierce Transit. This time, it was their building at 3720 96th St SW, Lakewood, WA. Our team applied a 14-mil Armorcoat film to their first-level glass surfaces and added a section of privacy film to enhance security for Pierce Transit.
Once again, Pierce Transit demonstrated the government’s primary goal of taking care of their community’s safety. This public transit agency, serving the central Puget Sound region in WA, is a perfect example of a people-oriented approach. Given that Lakewood has one of the highest crime rates in the USA, Pierce Transit decided to safeguard its clients and workers.
For this project, we applied Solar Gard‘s 14-mil Armorcoat safety and security film. This film prevents glass pieces from flying around in case of damage, maintaining high visibility at 87%. Moreover, it offers 22% of total solar energy rejection and blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays. Also, we used privacy film on one section of the building. It will prevent the workers from annoying onlookers. All in all, this combination of window films will surely ensure long-term security for Pierce Transit.
